In Chile, the slopes of the Andes Mountain range contain extremely attractive, extensive and easily ski able surfaces with the best snow found in the Southern hemisphere.
Modern facilities, superb hotel infrastructure and the addition of the hospitable Chilean people, combine to make a perfect winter paradise every year between June and October.
Some of the country’s most important ski resorts, equipped with modern ski-lifts, comfortable housing, first-class restaurants, transportation and communications services are located very near the capital, Santiago.
In addition, Santiago also provides an array of tourist facilities and attractions, including theaters, museums, restaurants, discos, shopping centers and more.
All this variety, sophistication and quality make for an enjoyable and truly unforgettable stay.

The Farellones, El Colorado and La Parva complex, located less than 25miles east of the capital is the preferred skiing resort for families and young people.

The Valle Nevado ski resort is oriented towards amore selective market and is excellent for traditional and nighttime skiing, snowboarding, heli-skiing and competition events.

Snow and friendship blend in Portillo, making it one of the most famous ski centers in the world and an important location for international competitions. It is located only 90miles northeast of Santiago and is traditional in both style and setting.

Lagunillas, southeast of the capital and close to the town of San Jose de Maipo, combines skiing with other attractive mountain sports.

There are several ski centers in the south of Chile.  All of them are set in the midst of natural landscapes capped by volcanoes, rivers, lakes, woodlands and top quality snow, complemented by fully comprehensive modern facilities.

The Termas de Chillan center, located 300miles south of Santiago, offers a variety of facilities and ski runs surrounded by thousand-year-old woodlands.  Its particular appeal is being able to combine skiing with its hot springs and Spa.

The Villarrica-Pucon ski center, located 81miles southeast of Temuco, is set on the slopes of a volcano; its installations and location provide a wonderful view of five nearest lakes.

The Araucarias, situated on the side of Llaima volcano in the surroundings of the Conguillio National Park.

Further south, 61miles east of the city of Osorno, set in the midst of the incomparable beauty of the Puyehue National Park, the Antillanca ski center offers a friendly atmosphere and welcoming services.

The Andes Mountains in Chile also extends an invitation to enjoy other ski centers, with fewer facilities but tremendous local appeal, which season after season delight occasional skiers, families, young people and adventure lovers.

Such is the case of Antuco, 55miles from Los Angeles; La Burbuja, east of Puerto Varas; Cerro el Fraile, in the neighborhood of Coihaique and Cerro Mirador in Punta Arenas.
